Nederburg Primary Schools gets a classroom upgrade

Nederburg Primary School in the Western Cape has long had the dream of providing new classrooms for their Grade R and Primary School learners. In March 2020 that dream became a reality with six new double-wide classrooms thanks to a collaborative community-driven project in Paarl.

The R1.8-million investment into Nederburg Primary School was driven by the Western Cape Department of Education and MySchool,MyVillage,MyPlanet, together with sponsors The Val de Vie Foundation, Hopewell United Methodist Church, The Foshini Group and the Rhodes Food Group. Through this incredible collaboration, this long-overdue upgrade was possible. Each of the six new classrooms, built off-site by Kwikspace, can accommodate up to 35 learners at a time, and will be used by the school’s Grade R and Grade 7 learners.

Kwikspace is Africa’s leading manufacturer and supplier of prefabricated, modular buildings using Alternative Building Technology (ABT) innovations. Modular classrooms are prefabricated and delivered to site, fully operational, in under 4 weeks.
