Kwikspace has been contracted by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) to supply 120 classrooms to 28 schools in the first half of 2020.
These classrooms, suitable for all learners from Grade R to matric, were purchased by GDE to alleviate overcrowding issues in various Johannesburg and Pretoria schools. Now, with schools opening amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Kwikspace classrooms are enabling these schools to adhere to social distancing criteria of not more than 20 learners per classroom as per the guidelines by The National Department of Basic Education.
Kwikspace offers cost-effective, comprehensive modular building solutions for schools across the country within tight timeframes. Its modular prefabricated buildings are as comfortable as traditional buildings and are easily cleaned, hygienic and require low maintenance.
“Our classrooms are mould and water-resistant, affordable and aesthetically suitable for a COVID-19 conscious environment,” says Kgakgamatso Phatlane, Kwikspace Government Sector Manager.
As Africa’s largest manufacturer of modular buildings, with nearly 50 years’ expertise and supplying rapidly deployable buildings, Kwikspace is ideally positioned to provide high-quality, pre-fabricated classrooms to any area.
