Kwikspace launches KWIK Kit

Kwikspace has announced the launch of the KWIK Kit – a prefabricated structure, rapidly supplied and delivered in component form, together with detailed construction drawings, that enable the client to carry out construction. Ideal for use in locations where mobile prefabricated units cannot be supplied (due to poor road conditions or area restrictions, for example), the KWIK Kit units are quickly constructed, either on a concrete slab for permanent use or on a chassis, allowing the building to be relocatable.

Kwikspace has announced the launch of the KWIK Kit – a D.I.Y prefabricated structure, supplied and delivered in component form, together with detailed construction drawings, that enable the owner to carry out construction.

Ready in 2-3 weeks from order, the KWIK Kit offers a speedy solution. “The Kits can be shipped across the globe, easily and flexibly delivering various dimensions for all types of applications,” explains Talita Losper, Client Relations Manager, Kwikspace. The KWIK Kit is available in two formats – the KWIK Premium (a lightweight and easy-to-assemble unit) or the KWIK Fire (heavier but offers favourable fire ratings).

The KWIK Kit is available in a range of different unit types, including ablutions and toilet facilities; dormitories; residential units; isolation wards; kitchens or canteens; clinics; offices; boardrooms; classrooms; tuck shops; storerooms; control rooms and remote camps. The KWIK Kit contains electrical and plumbing components, but customers have the option of ordering additional optional items, such as verandas, window blinds, air-conditioners, fire extinguishers and chalk boards.

The KWIK Kit system offers stability, integrity and insulation, while also delivering a cost-efficient solution. “The KWIK Kit components are manufactured using the same materials utilised in the construction of our range prefabricated buildings. Our locally-made polyurethane panel provides greater strength and thermal qualities compared to alternative construction solutions. Our panels don’t delaminate and have a life expectance of up to 20 years if properly maintained,” says Losper. KWIK Kit units carry a 12-month warranty on manufactured components (and the original equipment manufacturer’s warranty would apply for the balance of materials supplied with any order).

Detailed construction drawings are provided, prior to dispatch of materials. These include chassis layouts / construction / assembly of buildings, roof structure, electrical and plumbing. In addition, on-site training is provided to clients, if required.

The launch of the KWIK Kit will satisfy market demand – both locally and across our borders into sub-Saharan Africa – for prefabricated building materials, in locations where the supply of prefabricated mobile units is not feasible

The KWIK Kit units are available for purchase and collection from Kwikspace’s network of branches, with local delivery available on special request. “The benefit in supplying KWIK Kits allows our clients to increase local content requirements as well as upskilling of staff on their own project requirements while giving back to the community,” adds Losper.

“As the market leader of prefabricated modular buildings, Kwikspace is pleased to provide a solution that accommodates the need for customisability, while ensuring we provide only the best high-quality structures to our clients,” concludes Losper.
