Kwikspace to exhibit at Cape Construction Expo

Kwikspace, the prefabricated building specialists, will be exhibiting at the Cape Construction Expo for the first time. The 2018 exhibition, taking place on 12 & 13 September at the Grand West Hotel and Conference Centre in Cape Town, will now feature Kwikspace with its mobile unit sales and rental options as well as five of its building technologies, including the manufacturer’s most recent innovation, KWIKPLAST.

The building technologies being showcased are:

		KWIKMAX: Premanufactured high-density polyurethane panels clad with magnesium oxide or fibre cement boards. This solution has exceptional thermal and sound ratings, is Agrément-certified and can be used as double storey without additional load bearing structures.
		KWIKFIRE: Polyurethane-filled high-quality 40 mm steel clad panels with 30 minute fire rating and Agrément South Africa certified. The panels have an additional 12 mm magnesium oxide board which provides the necessary fire-resistant properties.
		KWIKPREMIUM: Made of polyurethane-filled 40 mm steel clad panels, it is the quickest system to erect and finish, and the most cost-effective. Panels can be used as walling and roofing systems that provide excellent thermal properties, and they are moisture- and insect-resistant and fire retardant.
		KWIKPLAST: Consisting of expanded polystyrene (EPS) core clad with high-tensile reinforcing mesh, it is Agrément-certified and plastered on site. Providing an excellent hard plaster finish with outstanding fire and thermal ratings, the system is used for buildings up to eight storeys high.

“Our solutions are used by government departments throughout South Africa and various industrial sectors in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa,” says Mico Botha, Kwikspace Cape Town Regional Manager. “State-owned enterprises like Eskom and Transnet have used Kwikspace solutions extensively on their various sites across the country, and our mobile and permanent structures are used by a number of industries for accommodation, ablutions, office space, clinics, dining areas and more.”

A few examples of industrial and commercial applications that make use of Kwikspace’s offering include mining camps, construction sites, renewable energy plants, healthcare facilities and NGOs to name only few. “We are also extremely active in the South African education sector, both government and private, from Grade R through to tertiary institutions,” Botha concludes.
