Kwikspace, Africa’s largest supplier of prefabricated units, received a purchase order for a double-wide open plan unit, measuring 7.06 X 6.98 m, for the iThemba Labantu Lutheran Community Centre in Philippi, Cape Town.
The unit, which was sited and installed by a third-party service provider, included stoneguards for the windows, a verandah, perimeter mesh, and an additional safety/fire door.
Earmarked for use as a classroom, the open plan order was received on the last day of August 2022, with delivery and installation of the prefabricated, relocatable building completed by 26 September.
“This is not the first time that the iThemba Labantu Community Centre has made use of Kwikspace,” says Lance Koen, Account Manager. “All our units require minimal site preparation and are easily connected to external services where required. Their durability and application versatility makes them ideal for any application, and their insulation offers protection from both heat and cold, making them an ideal learning environment.”
